The Hawkins Brothers
The Hawkins brothers, Tre'von and Deven Hawkins, born to Tiffany and Demetrius, grew up with one sibling in Calumet City, Illinois. Both Tre'von and Deven accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the Late Great Bishop Arthur M Brazier and Isabel Brazier.
The brothers were intrigued with Mime through the Arts Program at the Apostolic Church of God. They began their spiritual journey at the age of 7. They both love to mime and to give back to the body of Christ.
Deven, the youngest, is a senior in the nursing program at Purdue West Lafayette and is scheduled to graduate in May 2024. After graduation, he will begin his nursing career at Northwestern Medicine in the Neuro-Spinal Intensive Care Unit. He is also the President of the Nu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.
Tre'von, the oldest of the two, is a Special Loan Administrator. He is also a Sunday School teacher and Mime leader at the Apostolic Church of God. He is the co-owner of Mime4Life LLC. Tre’von has dedicated his life to establishing relationships with churches to structure and develop mime ministers.
The brothers are committed to inspiring people of all generations to mature their relationship with Christ through the art of Mime.
Tre'von D. Hawkins
Tre’von D. Hawkins is a man of God, full of power, anointed to mime the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and genuinely loves the people of God. His transparent style of ministering allows him to connect with individuals from all stages of life.
Tre’von obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at DePaul University. He is an active member at the Apostolic Church of God under the leadership of Dr. Byron T. Brazier. He is a dynamic leader in the Real About Worship (R.A.W.) Mime Ministry and a Sunday School educator for preteens.
Tre’von has dedicated his life to establishing relationships with churches to structure and develop mime ministers. Tre’von has expressed that being a part of the R.A.W. Mime Ministry helped him through life’s trials and tribulations growing up and kept him rooted in Christ. He is now using his knowledge and experience to incorporate psychology and the love of Christ with movement in worship. He now shares his expertise in mime and his passion for Christ with others.
Brother Hawkins believes it is impossible to appreciate where you are going until you understand where you’ve been since accepting his call as a mime minister in 2008 Bro. Hawkins has been fervent in helping young people develop their relationship with Christ. Upon receiving his call, Tre’von immersed himself in the work of the ministry and empowering communities by sharing his gift of mime through his organization, Mime4Life L.L.C.
Tre’von has a progressive, committed, innovative, and generational link to inspire people to mature their relationship with Christ! His devotion is to live upright before God and to be an example to his family, church family, and God's people. Tre’von believes “God’s purpose for his life is greater than his life.”
